Microtest™ MT200P Tensile and Compression Stages for Life Sciences
The MT200P is a compact tensile and compression stage specifically designed for testing samples within a Petri dish environment. This configuration makes it ideal for biological materials, hydrogels, and other samples requiring immersion or controlled fluid conditions.
Samples are mounted horizontally and secured using precision grips, allowing stable and repeatable mechanical testing while remaining within the dish. The system provides controlled displacement over a travel range of up to 20 mm, with typical gauge lengths of 30–50 mm.
Optimised for use with optical microscopy, the MT200P enables real-time observation of sample deformation in liquid or ambient conditions. A heating option is available, allowing temperature control up to 60 °C for studies requiring elevated temperatures.
